   Aucklands Care, a small residential care home for up to 10 people with learning disabilities, retained its Outstanding overall rating following a focused October 2023 inspection of the Safe and Well-led key questions, both rated Good. The service demonstrated exemplary person-centred culture, robust governance, safe medicines management, and strong community and professional partnerships with no areas of concern identified.

   Strengths

   • · People and relatives described staff as 'Extremely caring' and felt safe; staffing levels adjusted to enable community access and independence.
   • · Medicines managed safely with trained staff, accurate controlled drug records, and proactive medication reviews to reduce falls.
   • · Robust infection prevention and control measures in place, fully aligned with government guidance at time of inspection.
   • · Strong safeguarding culture with staff confident to escalate concerns; health professionals noted issues were not 'sat on'.
   • · Positive, open and inclusive workplace culture; staff proud to work there and felt valued by the registered manager.
