The assessment took place between 24 March 2026 and 23 April 2026. Site visits were undertaken on 2 April 2026. The assessment was carried out due to the age of the previous rating and covered all quality statements. ASLN is a domiciliary care agency, providing personal care in people’s own homes and in supported living. This report relates to the homecare service, where three people were receiving regulated activity. We assessed the service against ‘right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. The service was working in line with the principles of right support, right care, right culture. The service was rated Good. People spoke positively about the care and support they received and described staff as kind, respectful and responsive to their needs. Support plans were clear, person-centred and provided sufficient guidance to enable staff to deliver care that was tailored to people’s individual preferences, needs and outcomes. We identified some concerns relating to the safety of the environment in a small number of supported living properties. These issues were promptly addressed once brought to the attention of management, demonstrating a willingness to respond to feedback and take appropriate action to reduce risk. We also found some shortfalls in medicines management. PRN (as required) protocols required further detail to ensure staff were administering medicines consistently and appropriately. However, we found no evidence that medicines had been administered incorrectly, nor that people had been harmed as a result. Management took steps to address these issues and strengthen oversight. Overall, despite the areas identified for improvement, the service demonstrated a commitment to providing person-centred care and responding positively when concerns were raised.
