Date of Assessment: 2 June to 23 June 2025. Lifeways Community Care (East Midlands) is registered to provide supported living services and homecare. They provide personal care to people with learning disabilities and autistic people living in their own homes. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Not everyone who used the service received personal care through the homecare provision, so we did not inspect this part of the service as CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of the inspection there were 8 people receiving regulated activity. This inspection was carried out following information of concern we had received about the quality of the care in the service. We found improvements had been made following our last inspection. Staff provided safe care to meet people’s needs, people’s care plans were regularly reviewed and updated when required. Medicines were managed safely, and we found there was enough staff available to meet people's needs. We found the staff to be passionate about supporting people to achieve positive outcomes and staff demonstrated a good understanding of equality and diversity and understood the barriers people could face. The provider ensured staff were aware of their vision and values and we found the management team to be knowledgeable and experienced; they demonstrated a good management oversight of the service.
