Brooks Care and Nursing Services received a 'Requires Improvement' rating following a focused inspection of safe and well-led domains, with regulatory breaches identified in medicines management (Regulation 12) and good governance (Regulation 17), including a warning notice. Late and short care visits, ineffective call monitoring, and inadequate medication audits were the primary drivers of the downgrade from the previous 'Good' rating.

Strengths

· Staff had received safeguarding training and knew how to raise concerns; no open safeguarding incidents at time of inspection
· Risk assessments were completed, reviewed and kept up to date to meet people's needs
· Staff administering medication had received medication training and competency assessments were completed
· Infection prevention and control training was provided and adequate PPE was available to staff
· Positive staff culture; staff felt supported by management and enjoyed their work
