Hope Care Service Agency received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection, demonstrating safe, person-centred care for two people with learning disabilities. The service showed strong safeguarding practices, effective governance and a compassionate, well-led culture with no areas of concern identified.
Strengths
· Staff knew people well and understood how to protect them from abuse; safeguarding training was applied effectively in practice.
· Care and support plans were personalised, holistic, strengths-based and regularly reviewed with people, relatives and staff.
· Staff demonstrated strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 principles and supported people to make their own decisions.
· Registered manager was visible, approachable and highly praised by relatives, with one rating the service 'ten out of ten'.
· Service was flexible and responsive, e.g. registered manager personally attended at 5:15 a.m. to support a person before surgery.
