This was the first assessment of this service which registered with CQC in April 2022. This assessment commenced on 24 July 2025 and was completed on 30 July 2025. We reviewed all the quality statements. Freedom Homecare Ltd is a domiciliary care service that provides care and support to people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. At the time of our assessment the service was supporting 24 people with the regulated activity of personal care. We visited the service’s office on 24 July 2025 where we met the management team and looked at records relating to the management of the service. Following the visit, we spoke on the telephone with people using the service, relatives and staff. The overall rating following this assessment is good. Processes were in place to protect people from abuse. Staff knew what to do if they thought someone was at risk. Staff knew people well and had a good understanding of how to safely manage individual risks. Staff worked in partnership with health and social care professionals to ensure people received good outcomes. People received consistent care from staff who had the skills and knowledge to meet their needs. Care was person centred and people or their relatives were fully engaged in assessments of need, care planning and reviews of care. Wherever possible, the provider was flexible and accommodated people’s requests for altered call times to make sure people were able to attend appointments. The culture and values of the service focused on ‘ making lives meaningful’ and treating people as individuals. Staff lived these values and ensured they were reflected in the care they provided to people. Staff spoke positively about the management team and said they provided effective support and promoted an open and inclusive culture. Governance systems were in place. The provider was receptive to feedback and took action during the assessment to address areas for improvement.
