   Date of assessment: 18 March to 15 April 2026 APT Care Limited is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to adults living in their own homes, to support them to live as independently as possible. CQC only inspects services where people receive the regulated activity of personal care. At the time of this assessment, 200 people were receiving support with personal care. The service supports adults with a wide range of needs, including people living with dementia, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and a small number of people with a learning disability. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Overall, people experienced safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led care. Risks were well managed, care was personalised and regularly reviewed, and staff worked effectively with families, health professionals, and the local authority to support continuity and timely care, including during hospital discharge. Leaders demonstrated strong oversight, a positive and open culture, and a clear commitment to learning and improvement. Governance systems, audits, and digital care records supported safe practice and continuous improvement, and leaders responded promptly to feedback and emerging issues. The service was well managed, with leadership strengths supporting good outcomes and positive experiences for people using the service.
