Date of Assessment: 15 October to 27 October 2025. Mountbatton Care Ltd is a care at home service. At the time of our assessment, 9 people received support within supported living accommodation, so that they could live as independently as possible. Within supported living, people’s care and housing are provided under separate contractual agreements. CQC does not regulate the premises used for supported living. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We undertook this assessment due to information we received about the safe management of medicines. We found people’s care was safe and people and were happy with the support they received from Mountbatton Care Ltd. Medicines were managed safely, and people needs were appropriately assessed. Staff had access to risk assessments and care plans which enabled them to provide safe and consistent care. Care plans were detailed, person centred and reflected best practice guidance with regards to how to effectively support people with a learning disability and autistic people. People and their families were fully involved and were supported to make informed decisions about their care. Staff understood the importance of obtaining people’s consent. Where a person lacked the capacity to consent to care, all decisions were made appropriately in their best interest and legal authorisations sought in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Systems were in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and lessons were learned from events which occurred. Staffing levels were safe, people received support from staff who were safely recruited, inducted and trained around their specific needs. This included when staff were supporting a person with a learning disability or an autistic person.
