This assessment took place between 18 August and 16 September 2025. Ablecross Limited is a domiciliary care service registered to provide personal care to adults of all ages, including individuals living with dementia, mental health conditions, and/or physical disabilities in their own homes. At the time of our assessment, 219 people were receiving the regulated activity of personal care, which includes support with personal hygiene and eating. Where applicable, we also considered the broader social care provided. People received care in a manner that promoted their safety. Medicines were managed appropriately, and risks to individuals were assessed with clear guidance in place to help staff reduce the likelihood of harm. Staff were equipped with relevant training and support to deliver care that met people’s needs. Care plans reflected current best practice and were tailored to promote positive outcomes. Staff demonstrated compassion and respect in their interactions with people. Feedback indicated that individuals felt valued and supported in maintaining their dignity and independence. The service was attentive to people’s changing needs. Care was personalised, and adjustments were made promptly to reflect individual preferences and circumstances. The registered managers, one of whom owned the company, worked closely with the senior leadership team to maintain oversight of the service. They were actively embedding good practice and strengthening governance arrangements to ensure continuous improvement.
