Date of assessment: 1 to 6 October 2025. Vigilant Health Care Ltd is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment 5 people were receiving support. This was our first assessment of Vigilant Health Care Ltd and therefore we included all quality statements. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks to people’s safety. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care. Staff managed medicines safely. People were involved in assessments of their needs. Staff regularly reviewed people’s care to ensure it continued to meet people’s needs. Staff provided any support required with meals and if required, liaised with healthcare professionals to support people to live a healthy life. Staff made sure people understood their care to enable them to give informed consent. Staff involved those important to people to take decisions in people’s best interests where they did not have capacity. People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated them as individuals and supported their preferences. The provider supported staff wellbeing. People were involved in decisions about their care. Staff adapted their communication style and provided information people could understand. People knew how to give feedback and were confident the provider took it seriously and acted on it. People received fair and equal care and support. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Governance systems were in place to review the quality and safety of care provision, and if required action was taken to address any areas requiring improvement.
