Dales Community Care Limited received a Good rating across all five key questions at its March 2016 inspection, with 61 people supported by 24 staff and a hands-on registered manager. The service demonstrated strong safeguarding awareness, person-centred care planning, and quality monitoring systems, with only minor concerns noted around occasional late visits attributed to adverse weather conditions.

· People felt safe and reported staff were careful, gentle and supportive during personal care
· Robust recruitment process including DBS checks, employment history, references and interviews
· Comprehensive care plans written in the first person, reviewed at least monthly and person-centred
· Staff received a range of training including safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, medicines, moving and handling, and end of life care
· Regular supervision, spot checks in people's homes, and competency checks for medicines administration

Dales Community Care Limited retained an overall Good rating at its December 2018 inspection, with Safe declining to Requires Improvement due to risk assessments not following the provider's own methodology and missing pre-care assessment documentation. All other key questions remained Good, with particular strengths in staffing, medicines management, person-centred care and well-led governance.
