Date of inspection 2 March to 6 March 2026 Ambar Care Limited provides personal and nursing care to people who require support in their own homes. This service is a domiciliary care agency. At the time of inspection 15 people were being supported by the service. We carried out a comprehensive inspection. A short period of notice was given before the inspection to ensure the registered manager would be available in the office. We found a breaches of regulations in relation to safe care and treatment and good governance. Information relating to people’s individual risks were not always recorded, up-to-date or did not provide enough detail as to how risks should be managed and mitigated. Medicine records did not always contain all the information needed to safely support people with medicines. Care plans did not contain enough information to ensure staff knew how to deliver appropriate person-centred care. Quality assurance systems were not robust and had not identified the shortfalls we found during our inspection. In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/or appeals have been concluded. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this inspection.
