Bluebird Care Docklands, Stratford and Wapping received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection on 20 June 2018. The service demonstrated strong person-centred care, effective governance systems, and well-supported staff with no areas of concern identified.
Strengths
· Robust electronic monitoring system ensured timely care delivery and task completion, with alerts triggered if care workers did not arrive within 15 minutes of scheduled visit time.
· Comprehensive risk assessments in care records, including environmental, moving and handling, and personal care risks, with clear guidelines for care workers.
· Staff received regular induction, mandatory and specialist training, quarterly supervisions, and annual appraisals, supporting competency and development.
· Care workers demonstrated strong understanding of safeguarding, MCA, consent, and equality and diversity principles.
· Holistic, person-centred care plans incorporating physical, mental, emotional, social and recreational needs, with involvement of people and relatives in care planning.
