Better Home Care received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection under current registration in April 2018. Minor governance and record-keeping gaps were identified and promptly remedied by the registered manager during the inspection itself.

Strengths
· People were supported to be safe by staff with good safeguarding knowledge and appropriate recruitment checks including DBS.
· Medicines were administered safely with competency assessments, audits, and accurate records in place.
· Comprehensive training programme including Care Certificate, MCA, dementia care, and regular updates.
· Staff promoted dignity, privacy and independence, with consistently positive feedback from people and relatives.
· Person-centred care planning included life history, preferences, and individual communication needs.
