Date of assessment 17 September 2025 Excellent Health Care is a care at home service. It provides personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of our assessment, 9 people were receiving support with personal care. The service is registered to provide support for children and adults of all ages living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and sensory impairment. At the time of the assessment the service was not providing care for children. An assessment has been undertaken of a specialist service that is registered for use by autistic people or people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, the service was not used by anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group. Risk assessments had been completed and risk management plans developed to provide staff with guidance on how to reduce risks. Medicines were administered as prescribed and were managed safely. The provider undertook assessments to ensure people were able to make informed choices in relation to their care. The provider had a recruitment process to enable them to appoint suitable staff. The provider completed a range of audits to monitor the quality of the care provided. Staff felt supported by the senior management of the service. Lessons learned following investigations into incidents and complaints were shared with staff.
