Date of inspection: 02 July to 28 July 2025. The assessment was carried out due to an aged rating. Dale Care and Support is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own homes. During this assessment we looked at all quality statements. The service was providing regulated activity to 59 people at the time of the assessment. During our assessment we found issues within records relating to governance, medicines management and risk assessments which had not been identified by the provider. Plans were in place to support people to manage risks, but they needed some development, so risks were managed effectively, and staff had the guidance needed to support people safely. The provider had governance systems in place to monitor and improve the quality of the service, but these were not always effective. Although there were governance systems in place to monitor the quality of the service, these had not identified or addressed the concerns we found. People’s care needs were met in an effective way. There was oversight in place to monitor missed, late and cancelled calls. People were treated with kindness and compassion. The provider supported staff wellbeing and staff felt supported to give feedback. Staff were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. The registered manager made sure staff received training and support to carry out their role. At the time of our assessment, the registered manager had been absent from the service for a number of months. There was a deputy manager in place who assured us the issues we had found had already been rectified upon receiving our feedback. This will be checked at our next assessment of the service.
