Four Meadows, a supported living service for 23 people with learning disabilities and autism, was rated Good overall following a focused inspection of Safe and Well-led in January 2023. No concerns were identified; the service demonstrated strong safeguarding, person-centred care, effective governance and an open, inclusive culture.
Strengths
· People and relatives reported feeling safe, happy and well-supported, with consistent and knowledgeable staff who knew people well.
· Robust recruitment processes including full employment history checks, reference verification and DBS checks.
· Medicines were safely managed, stored and administered with regular audits and competency checks for staff.
· Risk assessments were current, person-centred and involved people and their families, supporting independence with least restriction.
· Open and honest leadership culture with clear management structure, regular supervisions, team meetings and staff feeling valued.
