   This was a targeted COVID-19 infection prevention and control inspection of a supported living service for three people, which was inspected but not rated. Inspectors were assured on all IPC measures including PPE use, testing, vaccination compliance, and staffing mitigations.

   Strengths

   • · People were supported to keep in close contact with their relatives during the pandemic.
   • · Staff had a good understanding of people's individual communication needs, helping reduce anxieties about the pandemic.
   • · Creative activities such as setting up an in-garden 'pub' to compensate for closed venues during lockdown.
   • · Robust COVID-19 testing regime for staff and people using the service, with action taken on findings.
   • · People were supported to access the COVID-19 vaccination programme.
