Date of assessment: 16 February to 26 February 2026. The service is a care at home service providing support to older people and younger adults who may be living with dementia or a physical disability. We inspected this service due to its aged rating. There were 11 people receiving the regulated activity of personal care at the time of the inspection. People received care and support that was person-centred, kind, and flexible in meeting their needs. Staff delivered care in a thoughtful manner that maintained people’s dignity and encouraged them to remain as independent as possible. People were involved in their care, and the service understood the importance of ensuring people were in control of the service they received. People’s needs were regularly assessed with them, and they had regular opportunities to share feedback on the service and the care they received. The service worked well with other professionals to ensure people received the best care and professionals spoke positively about the registered manager and the service delivered. Staff consistently demonstrated the values of the service and there was a positive culture in place that was supportive, nurturing, and caring. The service worked in an open and collaborative manner and the registered manager demonstrated they were passionate about people and ensuring they received a good quality service. However, governance systems need to be improved as they had failed to identify and rectify some shortfalls found at this inspection including in relation to staff recruitment, medicines management and managing risk. Whilst these shortfalls had not impacted on the quality or safety of the service delivered, improvements are required to ensure people are fully protected from the risk of harm.
