Date of assessment: 4 December 2025 to 15 December 2025. L’Arche Bognor Regis is a domiciliary care service that provides support to people living in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where personal care is provided. At the time of our assessment, the regulated activity of personal care was being provided to 2 people living in their own homes. People supported had a learning disability and/or were autistic. The assessment was prompted by the age of the current rating and was conducted to provide a more up-to-date assessment of compliance. The service did not have a manager registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The registered manager and the provider are legally responsible for how the service is run and for the quality and safety of the care provided. The manager had applied to register with CQC, and their application was being processed. The provider had effective systems in place to ensure care was delivered safely, effectively, and in a person-centred way. Risks were managed and support plans reflected people’s individual preferences and needs. Staff were recruited safely and there were enough skilled staff to provide continuity of support. Staff felt supported and valued. Governance systems ensured people experienced good care. Records were accurate and contemporaneous and used to drive service improvements. Managers promoted a positive and inclusive culture. We assessed the service in line with CQC’s ‘Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture’ best practice guidance to judge whether people received respectful, dignified, and person-centred care that promoted their independence, choices, and inclusion in the community. The provider was working in line with national best practice guidance for supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people.
