Date of Assessment: 08 May to 16 May 2025. Woodfield 24 Care Services is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of the assessment 30 people received personal care and support. The service provided care and support to younger adults and older people who predominantly received palliative care. This was a planned assessment of all quality statements under the key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. People were supported by a team of caring staff who took time to get to know them and their families in order to understand how they liked their care and support to be delivered. Individual risks to people were managed safely. Care records were clear, detailed and up to date. People and their relatives were involved in writing care plans and regular reviews took place. Staff and managers understood their duty to safeguard people from abuse and protect them from harm. Staff had been trained to recognise and report the signs of abuse. Medicines were managed safely. Infection control was considered, and checks were in place to monitor it. The principles of the Mental Capacity Act were understood. Audits were undertaken to ensure issues identified were acted on swiftly and lessons were learnt as a result. People, relatives, staff and stakeholders’ views were sought to monitor and improve service delivery. Staff were safely recruited and trained and supported to enable them to safely carry out their roles and responsibilities.
