Date of assessment: 19 and 21 January 2026. Pure Moments Ltd is a care at home service providing personal care to older people, younger adults, people with physical disabilities, dementia and mental health conditions. At the time of assessment, 9 people were using the service and receiving personal care. The service had not been assessed and rated before, so we completed a comprehensive assessment. This assessment was prompted following information received around people’s support. During this assessment, we found some areas needing improvement such as management of medicines and service oversight. The provider did not always ensure they used robust assurance systems and governance processes which operated across all levels of the service. This meant people were at risk of harm and not receiving care they needed. The provider did not always ensure safe and proper management of medicines and recruitment. We found the provider did not inform us and the local authority about 2 notifiable incidents in a timely manner as required by law. The provider did not always ensure clear and complete records of people’s care and treatment monitoring and risk mitigation. Staff had not received all their mandatory training to ensure they had most current knowledge and skills. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment. People were protected and kept safe by staff and relatives confirmed this. The provider made sure there was continuity of care, and they worked well across teams and services to support people. The registered manager and staff understood the principles of good care and treatment. People’s rights around consent, privacy and dignity in practice were considered and respected. People and families were treated with kindness, empathy and compassion. The service cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff and they told us they enjoyed their jobs. The registered manager and the nominated individual were visible within the service and led by example. The nominated individual is the person responsible for the service on behalf of the provider. Staff told us they understood their responsibilities to raise concerns and report incidents or allegations of abuse. They felt confident issues would be addressed appropriately.
