Date of Assessment: 12 to 21 May 2025. 24Hrs Home Care Services is a care at home service providing support to adults, including people who require end of life care. At the time of assessment, the service was supporting one person. This was the first inspection of this service since registration. We reviewed all quality statements. We made 2 recommendations during this inspection; one in relation to safe recruitment because some areas of recruitment required improvement and a second one about the recording of topical creams. Risks to care were well managed. There were systems in place to support the safe administration of medication. Staff knew people well and understood their needs. Staff felt well supported and had received appropriate training. There were policies and procedures in place in relation to safeguarding and whistleblowing. People’s needs were assessed and care plans put in place to ensure care was delivered in a person centred way. We found although staff had received mandatory training, not all staff were confident in describing how they would put training linked to safeguarding, whistleblowing and Mental Capacity Act into practice. The provider’s vision and values focused on providing care that was individually tailored and high quality. Staff told us they enjoyed working for the service and felt well supported. We received positive feedback about the registered manager.
