   Hand in Hands, a supported living service for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, was rated Outstanding overall at this focused inspection of safe and well-led. Exceptional leadership, embedded positive risk-taking, innovative personalised support and strong partnership working delivered life-changing outcomes for people.

   Strengths

   • · Exceptional safeguarding approach with person-centred education using easy-read booklets, pictorial aids and Makaton to empower people to protect themselves.
   • · Innovative positive risk-taking enabling people to achieve aspirations such as flying abroad and moving to independent living.
   • · Strong medication practice including reducing reliance on PRN medicines through effective personalised support.
   • · Robust recruitment with no missed care visits in several years, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
   • · Exceptional, distinctive leadership with a long-standing permanent staff team providing continuity of care.
