The assessment was conducted remotely between 5 August and 17 August 2025, and we did not visit the office. Your Life (Ossett) is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people in their own homes. This was the first assessment of the service. At the time of the assessment, two people were receiving support with personal care. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects services where personal care is provided—this includes assistance with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where applicable, any wider social care provided is also considered. The service had a manager registered with the Care Quality Commission, meaning both the manager and the provider are legally responsible for how the service is run and for the quality and safety of the care provided. Medicine management systems were in place, and staff had received appropriate training. Safeguarding training had been completed by staff, and they were aware of how to report. Staff treated people as individuals, offering choice and supporting independence. People were treated with kindness and compassion. Care plans reviewed during the assessment clearly described how individuals preferred their care to be delivered. Governance systems were in place and accident and incidents were reviewed in relation to lessons learnt.
