Date of assessment: Site visit 27 January 2026. Feedback gathering concluded as of 10 February 2026. Bluebird Care (Nottingham) is a homecare service, which at the time of our inspection, provided care to 9 people in receipt of a regulated activity, in their own homes in and around Nottingham, at the time of our assessment. The service supports people who require assistance with daily living, including older people and individuals living with dementia, physical disabilities, or complex health needs. Our inspection found the service safely and effectively met the needs of people using the service. Relatives and people using the service were given the opportunity to feedback and be involved in care planning and decision making. Feedback from relatives and people using the service made it clear that as a collective, staff created a secure and positive environment when visiting people in their home. Safeguarding incidents were managed in a timely and effective manner, ensuring all relevant person’s and authorities were made aware. Documentation created a clear audit trail of actions taken, any learning and how this was shared. Care planning and risk assessments evidenced the corresponding updates to reduce risk of future reoccurrences. People were protected from the risk of harm or abuse through effective safeguarding and emergency contingency planning measures. The leadership, and feedback we gathered about them, evidenced a culture that fostered respect and transparency. We were assured people using the service and relatives felt they could approach leaders and have their concerns actioned. People using the service assured us that the wider staff team were accessible, compassionate and approachable.
