Fairway House, a supported living personal care service for adults with learning disabilities, was rated Good across all five key questions at its April 2017 inspection. The service was characterised by exceptional personalisation, strong leadership, robust governance and a proven track record of supporting people to achieve greater independence.

· Proportionate, person-centred risk management enabling independence, including individual risk assessments co-produced with people
· Robust staff recruitment, induction, bespoke training, regular supervision every two months, annual appraisals and direct observation of practice
· People took their own medicines; monthly medication audits and daily checks ensured safe administration
· No staffing vacancies, no agency staff used; flexible staffing aligned to individual needs and preferences
· Highly person-centred care and support plans, regularly reviewed, written accessibly with full involvement of people using the service
