Date of assessment: 14 to 18 August 2025. Thames Homecare Service Ltd is a Domiciliary Care Agency, providing support and personal care to people in their own homes. Staff supported older people and younger adults, with different health needs. At the time of our assessment 22 people were receiving support from the service. We assessed this service due to the age of their rating. An assessment has been undertaken of a specialist service that is used by autistic people or people with a learning disability. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Improvements were required to peoples care records, including care plan, risk assessments and medicines records. This was a recording concern and we found no harm to people. People were safeguarded from the risk of abuse. People were supported by enough suitably trained staff and staff were recruited safely. People, relatives, staff and partners told us the service was well led and they felt listened to. People and relatives told us staff supported them in a caring and dignified way and responsive to their needs. People and relatives told us they were supported by staff who knew them well and understood their individualised needs. At this assessment we have rated the service requires improvement in effective and good overall.
