Date of assessment: 27 February 2026 – 3 March 2026. Elmbridge is a homecare service providing care and support to residents of Elmbridge Retirement Village. CQC onlyinspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our assessment the service supported 12 people with personal care. Staff were always available when people needed them. Staff were recruited safely and had access to the induction, training and support they needed to carry out their roles. Staff completed safeguarding training and understood their responsibility to protect people from abuse or poor practice. The registered manager shared information with relevant agencies when safeguarding concerns were raised. Staff provided people’s care in a safe way while promoting their independence. People’s medicines were managed safely. Staff knew how to minimise the risk of infection and had access to personal protective equipment when they needed it. The provider promoted a culture of improvement. Incidents were reviewed and discussed to identify and implement learning. The management team and staff worked well with people’s families and other professionals to achieve good outcomes for people. The service had an open culture in which people were encouraged to speak up if they had concerns or suggestions. The provider’s governance systems enabled effective management oversight of the service and the care provided. Staff were well supported by the management team and had access to advice and guidance when they needed it. Staff worked well together to meet people’s needs and there was a strong sense of teamwork.
