· Comprehensive risk assessments completed within 72 hours of service start, covering environmental and individual care needs
· Strong person-centred approach with staff encouraging independence, respecting dignity and privacy, and involving people in care planning
· Effective out-of-hours on-call system and business continuity planning for emergencies such as extreme weather
· Regular staff supervision, annual appraisals, and spot checks ensuring consistent care quality and staff development

Strengths
· Suitable safeguarding processes in place with staff competency verified by senior staff and appropriate escalation to local authority and CQC.
· Sufficient staffing levels with safe recruitment practices and thorough induction including shadowing experienced staff.
· Medicines support delivered safely with pharmacist-led competency training and accurate record keeping.
· Staff supported people to maximise independence with goals tracked and support reduced as goals were met.
· Person-centred care plans with accessible communication options including translation services and picture boards.
