This assessment took place between 28 March and 11 April 2025. This was the first assessment of the service since it was registered on 12 September 2022. We carried out this assessment due to concerns around care delivery, quality monitoring and governance, and to make sure the provider was meeting required standards. AAT Quality Care Agency Ltd is a domiciliary care service registered to provide personal care to older people, including people who may live with dementia in their own homes. At the time of our assessment there were 32 people using the service all of whom were receiving the regulated activity of personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. An assessment has been undertaken of a specialist service that is registered for use by autistic people or people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, the service was not used by anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group. Overall people received safe care and support. The registered manager with the support of their staff provided person centred care that met people’s needs. They were working with their staff team and external professionals to embed good practice and strengthen the governance arrangements at the service.
