Som Care Ltd is a domiciliary (Care at home) service that was first registered with CQC in July 2022. At the time of our assessment, they were providing care and support to four people in their own homes. This was the first assessment of the service since they were registered with CQC. Following this assessment, we have rated the service good. The performance of the service received praise from people receiving care, relatives, a stakeholder and the care staff team. Day to day direct care and support was managed effectively and the provider and care staff team were able to demonstrate their open and inclusive values towards the people they support. There was a good degree of trust which also received praise from people being cared for who provided us with their views. There were safe policies and procedures in place to manage medicines, provide safe care in people’s homes and to respond to anything of concern. The provider had effective systems in place to keep the performance of the service under review and to monitor emerging trends.
