   Darlington Extra Care Services was rated Good overall following a December 2023 inspection, with only the Safe and Well-led key questions assessed. The service demonstrated effective medicines management, robust governance and auditing, person-centred care planning, and a positive, open leadership culture.

   Strengths

   • · Medicines were managed, recorded and administered safely, with specific guidance for 'as and when required' medicines.
   • · Accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns were effectively recorded, monitored and lessons shared with staff.
   • · Staff training was up to date and regular supervision and appraisals were in place.
   • · Risk assessments and person-centred care plans were current and detailed.
   • · Robust recruitment safety checks and detailed staff records were maintained.
