Assessment dates: 30 March to 13 April 2026. Stocks Home Care Services provides personal care to adults living in their own homes, including older people and people with dementia, physical and sensory impairments. Staff were recruited safely and received regular training, supervision and competency checks, which supported safe and effective care delivery. People experienced good continuity of care from a consistent staff team, helping to build trusting relationships. Risks were assessed and managed in partnership with people and their families, and care plans were detailed, person-centred and regularly reviewed, particularly following changes in need or hospital admission. Medicines were managed safely where support was required, and infection prevention and control practices were followed. There was a strong learning culture, with incidents, accidents and safeguarding concerns reported appropriately and used to drive improvement. The service was responsive to people’s needs, with care adjusted promptly when circumstances changed. Leaders were visible, approachable and promoted an open and inclusive culture where people and staff felt confident to raise concerns. Governance and quality assurance systems provided effective oversight and supported continuous improvement. Overall, the service was well led, with a positive culture focused on delivering reliable, person-centred care that supported people to remain safe, independent and well in their own homes.
