Newfield View Supported Living received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first inspection under the current provider, demonstrating person-centred care for 17 people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Minor improvements were recommended regarding medication record-keeping and supervision frequency, both of which the provider had already identified and begun to address.

Strengths
· High staff retention with many staff having worked with people for a number of years, enabling person-centred, familiar care.
· Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding knowledge and appropriate procedures were in place to protect people from abuse.
· Specialist training provided including epilepsy awareness, diabetes, autism, learning disability and Oliver McGowan Code of Practice.
· Staff received Makaton training and communication needs were assessed and recorded in care plans.
· Provider worked closely with a range of professionals and partner agencies, receiving positive feedback from health professionals.
