The service demonstrated strong person-centred care, effective safeguarding, safe medicines management, and well-embedded quality assurance processes.
Strengths
· Person-centred care plans covering all aspects of people's lives, needs, preferences and daily routines, presented with pictures and photographs for accessibility
· Staff had detailed knowledge of the people they supported and had developed positive relationships with them
· Safe recruitment practices including DBS checks, references, and values-based interview scoring
· Medicines safely managed with swift action taken on errors and staff competency re-assessed following any medication errors
· Communication needs fully supported using sign language, communication boards and non-verbal cues
