Date of assessment: 8 May 2025. Haven Care Limited is a care at home service providing support with personal care to younger and older adults, people living with dementia, eating disorders, people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. Mental health conditions, physical disabilities, sensory Impairments and substance misuse. At the time of our inspection, 84 people were receiving support with personal care. There was a registered manager in post at the time of the inspection. We have assessed the service against ‘right support, right care, right culture guidance to make judgements whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability or autistic people, respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. This is the first inspection of the service since they were registered on 24 November 2021. At this inspection the service has been rated good. We visited the offices of Haven Care Limited and spoke with four staff including the registered manager who is also the director of Haven Care Limited. We reviewed a range of records. This included seven people's care records, medicines records and four staff files as well as other records relating to how the service was managed. We spoke with 10 people who used the service and their relatives The provider assessed people’s care needs to ensure these could be met by staff prior to people being supported with care, however we found some risk assessments were not robust in relation to people’s complex care needs. Some care plans did not have information about people’s protected characteristics. However, people and their relatives told us they felt well supported, and they were happy with the care and support they received. People and their relatives told us they were involved in the development and reviews of their care plans. They felt confident in being able to raise concerns with the provider if required. People felt the staff treated them with respect kindness and maintained their dignity when providing support. The service had enough staff employed to keep people safe. Pre-employment checks were completed. Staff completed an induction at the beginning of their employment and received ongoing support through training and supervision. The provider assessed people’s care needs to ensure these could be met by the staff. Staff felt supported by the management team. The provider had a quality assurance process to monitor the quality of aspects of the service.
