Date of Assessment: 10 May to 19 May 2025. Personal Care Specialists is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of our assessment the service was supporting 40 people with personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. Staff worked well with external professionals to meet people’s needs and external professionals spoke positively of the service. People’s care plans included clear person-centred information and evidenced people were in control of their own care. People were kept safe as staff followed processes the provider had put in place and required checks were completed. Staff knew how to raise safeguarding alerts and received the appropriate training. Staff reported they were engaged with the development of the service and felt able to speak up. The service engaged with staff through team meetings and supervision. However, there were no staff surveys completed. Governance systems were robust, and the service demonstrated continuous improvement. The registered manager had good oversight of the service and the people they supported.
