Vital HealthCare - Buckinghamshire received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection in February–March 2023. The service demonstrated strong person-centred practice, effective safeguarding systems, and an inclusive culture supporting younger adults and older people with a learning disability and autism in supported living settings.
Strengths
· Personalised risk assessments and support plans enabled independence while keeping people safe
· Staff skilled in recognising emotional distress and supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
· Strong culture of inclusion, diversity and equality embedded in practice
· Effective communication support including Makaton, PECS and individual communication passports
· Regular supervision every 4–6 weeks plus weekly peer meetings and debriefs
