Date of assessment 28 August to 5 September 2025. Staff and people were positive about the care provided by Acre Care. We spoke with well trained, passionate staff who were happy to explain their roles and why they loved working for the provider. The registered manager and a senior team ensured people were kept safe by constant monitoring of care, frequent training and audits of the service. Staff felt involved and empowered to be part of the service. Staff told us they enjoyed being with people and knew that for many people having a visit with someone to talk to was important for their mental health. Care plans were written in collaboration with people and their families. Staff understood how to keep people safe and were able to refer to a staff handbook for more details. Senior staff created clear risk assessments with people so they could continue to live life to the full. Staff ensured they left people’s homes clean and tidy, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed. The registered manager cared about the staff and ensured they were always able to work in ways that suited them. Staff told us how happy they were, and this showed in the way they carried out their tasks. An electronic care system ensured staff always had up to date information about care needed. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
