Kenbury House received a Good rating across all five key questions at its first CQC inspection in August 2022, demonstrating safe, person-centred supported living for people with learning disabilities in line with Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture principles. No failures or regulatory breaches were identified; the service showed particular strengths in individualised PBS-informed care, robust governance, and culturally responsive support.
· Staff knew people well and understood how to protect them from abuse; people told inspectors they felt safe
· Risk assessments were individualised, reviewed monthly, and included proactive/reactive steps and key triggers
· Robust recruitment checks in place including DBS, employment history, references and interview notes
· Medicines stored securely, records completed correctly, staff competency regularly assessed
